Current show
I have a show that is opening at the Phantom Gallery in Santa Rosa this friday (2/27). The umbrella theme is community and the show consists of students from SSU's B.F.A. program in several groups with installations exhibiting their interpretation of this abstract theme. I poasted the flyer
Where I'm coming from
I just recently reiceved a B.F.A. degree through Sonoma State University, and am currently working on pre-health requirements to apply to dental school.
Most of my work is based on life expierences as a mom and ex-child, not too personal and hopefully universal. I use my son in many of my paintings but try to avoid the adorable portraits that are all too easy and common. Bitter sweet stills with some macabre humor is perhaps one way to describe my works, plenty of color, contrast and mood.
